OUr Mission

Andy Serba and Ryan Burns established Vault Catering & Events in 2009. Vault Catering & Events was born out of their desire to delivery culinary innovation and personalized service to West Michigan. Both Andy and Ryan have a rich history in the food industry throughout the region. Deeply invested in all aspects of their company, they have a true passion for the success of each individual event – from a bride and groom on their special day to a large 500-person event to a working lunch.

Here are some words about Andy

Andy Serba - Owner

Andy and his wonderful wife, Jennifer, are Grand Rapids natives. They keep a busy schedule as parents to four adorable daughters. Andy and his family enjoy living in Grand Rapids, and being witness to the positive changes the city has undergone over the years. Andy partnered up with long-time friend and co-worker, Ryan Burns and in 2009 Vault Catering & Events was formed. Andy utilized his culinary skills and strong business ethic to form a solid foundation for Vault Catering & Events. He firmly believes that this strong foundation, combined with meticulous attention to detail and quality has played an integral part in making Vault Catering & Events the successful business it is today.

Ryan Burns - Owner

Ryan moved to Grand Rapids 14 years ago and quickly became enamored with the beauty and culture of the city. Ryan, Sarah, and their children remain deeply rooted in Grand Rapids; enjoying all the opportunities it has to offer. Ryan loves spending time with his family, traveling, and being involved in various family projects like raising rare heritage breed chickens for fresh organic eggs and meat. His vision for Vault Catering & Events incorporates his passion for healthy, local food with his vast knowledge of cooking techniques to create a catering company that stands out from the rest!

 

Geneviéve - Executive Chef

As a chef in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Geneviéve is fortunate to have access to some great local products!. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Upstate New York Geneviéve made her way to beautiful West Michigan. Geneviéve works alongside some of the best and most passionate individuals, which makes the day-to-day business incredible. She always looks forward to delivering an exceptional menu for each event.

 

 

Lindsey - Event Manager

Lindsey began her professional journey with years as the Food & Beverage Director at an exclusive club and as the onsite General Manager of the corporate dining program in West Michigan. Following her heart, Lindsey began to focus on catering and special event production. She feels it’s important to connect with all our clients and future brides. From the beginning until the very end of your event, our team will have the attention to detail, good vibes, and upbeat energy to make your event the way you envision it! Lindsey loves what she does and is very grateful for the opportunities she has been presented.

Cody - Sous Chef

Cody is a killer in the kitchen. Great things happen when this man has a plan. He and the staff take simple easy local ingredients and can create some pretty amazing dishes. Coming from a large background of foodies in the family, Cody is all knowing in the food industry. You can always count on him to show up strong and have a positive outlook in any situation.

 

 

Jeremy - Vending Specialist

Jeremy is that individual that will take your 500-person outdoor corporate picnic or GALA nonprofit event and make it seem like as simple as a 10-person boxed lunch. He has been there working with all the major players in town. He has the approach of a seasoned veteran despite being only 35 years old (so he says). Andy and Ryan were sure lucky to snag this guy while he was on the market. Jeremy is a great addition to the Vault Catering & Events team!
